A cocktail of passion, power and sheer energy ranging from mid-paced groovers to up-tempo rockers served by Men who know their business. . .
At the end of 2000 the time had come, six Rock'n` Roll junkies from Hamburg entered the rehearsal bunker and ignitet the spark...KICKHUNTER was born. The next logical step was to record the result at the band's own Shockhouse Studio (Markus & Karsten) to conserve the spontanious power of the songs for eternity. KICKHUNTER was born! Kick-Ass-Rock´n´Roll, melody, power straight ahead rocking your block:
“HEARTS & BONES”, produced by Markus Großkopf and Stefan Aurel.
Just in time for the release the first big tour in June 2003: KICKHUNTER opened the show for DEEP PURPLE and LYNYRD SKYNYRD. In 7 days in front of an audience of more than 40.000 people. More tour followed among others like Scandinavia etc…
2005 the big tour through Portugal as support for the portugiese topact ARYA. Followed by the biggest biker event of the world the HARLEY-DAYS in Hamburg. KICKHUNTER acted there together with M3 (Ex-Whitesnake) and their Rock´n´ Roll collegues from DOOM FOX and the QUIREBOYS in front of more than 10000 bikers.
In that time 2005/2006 Markus has been almost steady on tour with his main band HELLOWEEN, so all live activities on the KICKHUNTER bass was handled by MASTERPLANS Jan S. Eckert and Jens Becker of GRAVE DIGGER. No bad choice gentleman…..
In the end of 2006 time was right and material got finished to enter the studio for recording the next coup.
2007 - Ready to go: The new album is here! Playtime: 55 minutes - 10 tracks! Albumtitle: “LITTLE MONSTERS”! Worldwide release MAY 2007 with the new label: ROCKPHONE RECORDS/SOULFOOD
Gueststars on the album: ROLAND GRAPOW - (guitar solo) as well as JAN S. ECKERT - both of MASTERPLAN!
Next, like on the first album, keyboard legend JEAN-JAQUES KRAVETZ (Frumpy, Atlantis, P. Maffay, U. Lindenberg, Eric Burdon…) plus his famous son PASCAL KRAVETZ (P. Maffay, Bruce Springsteen, Robert Palmer, Joe Cocker, Jimmy Barnes…) Both guys polished the KH-Sound with Piano on each one track! Superb!
Additional gueststars: MATTHIASDE SOUZA (Metalium, X-Thirtien) – Guitarsolo, plus drumming worldstar ZABBA LINDNER for percussions on several songs! You better check this out….

The KICKHUNTER team proved their quality and came out brilliant: One hour pure entertainment from a Rock´n´Roll potpourri! Up from steamhammer rockers like “Boogie Town”, “Pimp Up Your Life”, Shame On Love”, to pure southern rock like “Walls”, “Ain´t Got Nothing Better”, “Shine”, till gospel rock hymns like “Alive”, bar-rock like “Water” and driving riffmashers like “King Of Life” – you can have all what you want! Songwriting talent Stefan, the famous (Helloween)-groovebass of Markus, as well as the power-drums of Karsten, the inimitable Hammond-event of Ansas, flying melody solos from Rollie, the legendary slide and wah-wah attacks from Stefan, and off course the rough street voice of JC makes the “Little Monsters” becoming to a real Rock´n´ Roll circus.
Surprise, Surprise: The ultimate duet “HEAVEN KNOWS” of Kickhunters front voice JC & background voice ELA! – Big Rock at its best! Plus a seven(!!!)-minute minor-balladversion of “Roll Over Beethoven” (Chuck Berry) arranged by Jan S. Eckert. God thank, Rock´n ´Roll has still fun! Hell yeah!
