Member of "The Suns" formerly known as "The Boys". Tajh aka (Purple Crown) writes, produces, and performs most of his own music. He is a part of the illustrious Sunland Music production team which also consist of his brothers Hakim, Bilal, and Khiry. Tajh was affectionately called "GV" (Golden Voice) by his brothers, industry executives, and fans because of the pure tone of his voice. He has been cultivating his musical talents since he was a child, and his skillz are now in full bloom. After the global success, fame, world travel, platinum and gold albums enjoyed by "THE BOYS" they retreated from the limelight, to "JUST LIVE", and were inspired to begin a quest for Self - Knowledge. For 7 years they lived an "urban monastic" lifestyle that would transform their lives and sound... During this period they practiced disciplines such as meditation (self observation) , fasting, devotional service, Tai Chi, Kupaghani Ngumi martial arts, dietary laws, and most importantly devotional singing and song writing. This quest for balance was reflected in their new music. At the culmination of the seven year period Tajh and his brothers were asked to perform at the "ROOTS HOMECOMING FESTIVAL" in "The Gambia" West Africa. They accepted the invitation, which began a whole new chapter in their journey and evolution. After performing at the festival "SUNS" then decided to stay in Gambia in order to reconnect with, and explore their ancestral indigenous "Roots and Culture". While in Africa "THE SUNS" opened a recording studio and began working with and developing local African talent in their area. Now, their production and sound has spread to other neighboring African countries as they work with, and develop more talented artist throughout the continent. At this point, after experiencing the two extremes of fame, and fortune, and a season of spiritual disciplines, Purple Crown (Tajh) has decided to take the "middle path" of balancing and utilizing both worldly and spiritual knowledge, thus staying connected to Heaven while being grounded in Earth and avoiding extremism. Tajh calls his sound "High Resonance" because he intentionally creates music that he feels will resonates with the listeners higher nature. Not known for elaborate vocal riffs, Tajh does not claim to be the greatest technical singer or MC, but he prides himself on catching vibes and gathering inspiration from the HEART & SOUL (Sol)....For more music Check out -
