Randall Crow Rocking Blues Band.

Blues Guitarist/ Vocalist/ Bandleader.

About Me

Randall Crow is a crowd pleaser and an original style Blues guitarist / singer / songwriter / bandleader of remarkable ability and experience.......................Randall is exceptionally devoted to the Blues!......................The style he prefers lately was popularized in Chicago and elsewhere with electric guitars in the fifties and sixties and onward, but Randall definitely has his OWN STYLE. It is a style much appreciated by the many fans who attend his weekly jam session at Jersey Joe's bar in Pitt Meadows (previouly he had a two year run at the Maple Ridge hotel).......................Randall can get down into the deep Blues ......More often he kicks out a fast tune with the energy and intensity of a rocker, often playing the guitar behind his head................... Much of what is called Blues today is actually played with a rock beat, a latin beat or a funky groove. It is really fun music that you can dance to................ Raised on Oklahoman-come-Californian grandparents' farm in a hard working agricultural and industrial area of California that had a large population of displaced poor blacks and whites from the southern states, there was diversity of musical influences...........The far reach of the L.A. entertainment business and the many T.V. and radio stations meant that there was a lot of competition and a lot of bands..............As a teenager Randall was playing the rock and pop of the time, but it was an Albert King record that really got him hooked on the Blues.......Albert influenced many of the Rock players of the time, including later Stevie Ray Vaughn........." I was hearing these licks everywhere in Rock, and when I heard Albert it suddenly made sense," Randall explains," of course Rock had many Blues influences, but you could definitely hear Albert King licks in there at the time"... ...........Randall has been from California to Toronto and back a few times, and played in a lot of bands ....It was the time spent in Toronto meeting, jamming and gigging with fine musicians from Chicago and Toronto etc. that caused him to get very serious about playing the Blues ..........That inspiration has caused a lifetime passion for this music, loosely referred to as The Blues.CHECK OUT THE VIDEOS by clicking on "videos" above, left. Randall may be seen and HEARD performing with his TIGHT BAND at JERSEY JOE'S Bar and Grill at the RAMADA Inn in Pitt Meadow EVERY FRIDAY!------------- To book the Randall Crow Rocking Blues Band send a message to this myspace page.
