Welcome to the new Appalachian Roots Rock & Blues Society!
This is a new organization, to promote all music that is based on the varied Appalachian music. If you are not familiar with the Appalachian influence- you will be surprised at just how large a part it has played in the whole music scheme of things.
As this site grows, we hope to put information about the history of Appalachian music, some highlights through the years, the musicians under the influence, and current musicians keeping the flame alive.
For those who have something to contribute to our story here, the history, or your own music, please message, comment, and be a friend.
(well-don't be a stranger!)
Welcome, come on in and set a spell..
One of a kind 1951 Fender Nocaster, Made by Tom Fleming at the Fender Custom Shop, when Fender bought Gretsch tocelebrate the two giants merging. Burnt OrangeColor is a Gretsch color and the Burnt Lettere "F" replaces the "G" on the Gretsch Guitars - the hardware is a mix of Fender and Gretsch . The Body is "Flame-Top" with binding all around it ... even in the "f" holes; etc. It is the 429th guitar made by Tom Fleming for Fender; Gretsch gold Hardware; one Fender pickup, one Gretsch pickup; Instead of the letter 'B" on Bigsbysetup there is an "F" there; the only one made with a neck made of two different woods- tiger striped maple and birdseyemaple; on the fret board it has the marks on the side of the neck like a Gretsch. Made in honorof the two companies (Fender and Gretsch) merging (thus the two woods, two different pickups, etc.). from Jeff Greene collection, for more info seewww.myspace.com/jeffgreeneofficialsite
