Solo Acoustic Guitar

About Me

I've been playing guitar, (and piano), for the best part of 20 years now. I decided to pick up the guitar when I discovered Steve Vai and Nuno Bettencourt of Extreme and then spent years trying to be like them. It was not until recent years that I saw the light, and the light is acoustic guitar music, and the guy holding the torch was the incredible Tommy Emmanuel. He pretty much made me put my electric guitar down, pick up my acoustic and never let it go! He truly is an inspiration. He opened up a whole new world for me to explore, and since then I've been influenced by many other great guitar players such as Al Petteway, Pierre Bensusan and Martin Simpson to name but a few. I still play electric rock, blues, jazz and country styles and I also teach guitar at a local music education centre, which I find incredibly fulfilling. These tunes on my page are demos, really, but I'll be posting new ones very soon.Anyway, thanks so much for your friendship, I appreciate everybody's support, and I hope you enjoy my music. Take care.Simon.
