Megaphon Studios has been operating as a commercial sound recording studio facility for 20 years. It started as a partnership venture in 1986, between Guy Dickerson and Shane Fahey and was incorporated as a small company in 1989.
Megaphon soon became well-known as one of the prime independently owned studios in Sydney, proving popular amongst bands such as Midnight Oil (Earth and Sun and Moon, 1993), The Hoodoo Gurus (Armchair Gurus/Electric Chair, 1998), The Cruel Sea (Three Legged Dog, 1995), Cold Chisel (Last Wave of Summer, 1998), and The Clouds (Penny Century, 1991).
