About Me

The track Herald above is from the new album, until it comes out you can buy it as a download here .
This is the Pete Carnac version of one of my songs! We think it's pretty cool so it's going on the album.
I’ve lived all around NSW - Sydney, Blue Mountains, south coast, the Illawarra. I grew up in Canberra. I’ve been singing all my life, also studied flute, orchestral percussion, self-taught open tuning-type guitar, play keyboards badly – more comfortable with samplers! I’ve been around for quite awhile but I've never performed very much, for all sorts of reasons. I haven't lived around cities for a long time - I adopted a dingo 8 years ago while living on the south coast and that kind of changed my life, really.
First album was ‘Aer Purus’ in 1995 (co-written in parts with Tim James who used to be in a Melbourne band called Feverdream). Second was ‘Self-Raising Flower’ in 2000 which was all my own work although Shane Fahey (Megaphon Studios) recorded and mixed a few tracks. It’s still available through Endgame Records. After a long process there is a new album coming out now (Feb '09), a proper studio album this one! It has taken ages, much tape, has been through Logic and ProTools, with a number of musicians having contributed (see left).
It's also being released through Endgame.More generally...over the last 5-6 years I've gotten more and more into learning how to consciously work with nature in partnership, including doing 'co-creative gardens', and also studying bush regeneration. I've also gotten into singing harmonics, toning, and using those to send energy or healing to things, and myself. I usually feel like I’m trying to live two different lives at once with two different sets of requirements and focus. Nature and 'sense of place' has become so important to me.
I've put some new tracks from the forthcoming up - if you want to hear Close - it's time to buy the track, people! easily available on iTunes and a million other digital places. Or through the Endgame website (www.endgame.com.au)
