Conni Laine grew up in beautiful St. Augustine, Florida, a perfect backdrop to fuel her songwriting imagination. From city lights to manicured lawns, from the river to her own backyard, every spot presented a new stage for Conni to play on. As a young child the sounds of her father’s favorite pastime, playing blues guitar, coupled with the sounds of Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin, Wilson Picket, Sam Cook, Otis Redding and others, influenced Conni and now... you can hear those same sultry, soulful sounds when Conni sings.Â
Conni now lives in the beautiful North Georgia mountains and is based in Atlanta and Nashville. Although Conni is focused on her career as a songwriter and recording artist, she continues to perform in intimate settings across the southeast. Conni's impressive repertoire includes songs from classic rock, blues, country rock and her own original music.Â
Jimmy Johnson, the well known producer, engineer, guitarist and owner of the famous Muscle Shoals Sound Studios, heard Conni’s voice and decided he wanted to meet Conni. After that meeting and listening to Conni perform, Jimmy wanted to record and produce her original songs. The project has been an ongoing labor of love and her new EP "Love's a Beautiful Thing" is now complete and you can listen to samples of the tracks right here on MySpace and also at www.ConniLaine.com!
