DC Green is a gonzo surf journalist and popular fiction author who has lately been having the time of his life writing funny children's novels.

ERASMUS JAMES
Erasmus James and the Galactic Zapp Machine is the self-contained first book of a three-part frightfully funny fantasy series for 7-107 year olds and brilliant chimpanzees.

SCHOOL SHOWS
DC Green tours schools to spread the joys of writing and reading. His shows are interactive, informative, inspiring and full of laughs.
A typical hour-long performance is made up of fiction and non-fiction writing ideas, dramatic readings, DC's famously bad singing, and yarns from his life as a world-wandering surf journalist (like the time he beat seven-time world surfing champion, Kelly Slater (just, not at surfing).
In the last two years, DC has performed over 300 school shows in four states and territories. In the next few years, DC will tour every Australian state and territory plus New Zealand. Tour dates on his site.

SURF JOURNALISM
Before he became a children's author, DC Green wrote for surf magazines - dozens of them. DC has been described by his surf magazine peers as ‘the world’s best surf journalist’, ‘a salty Hunter S. Thompson’ and by one magazine as their ‘resident literary giant.’
He has had over 2,000 articles published in 20 plus countries. One article, Two White Doves, about the Sari Club bombing and aftermath was hailed as the greatest article in the 36 year history of Tracks magazine and won the ‘E-map Feature of the Year’ Award.
Even eight-times world surfing champion Kelly Slater has stated DC’s Inside Sport profile was the most insightful any journalist has written about him (and DC beat him at pool, to boot). In his own small field, DC has influenced a generation of writers.
PERSONAL STUFF
DC Green lives on the NSW South Coast of Australia with one slightly crazy daughter and four very crazy cats. He continues to surf with high zeal and low skill.
