The Assmen were an old school punk rock band that toured the east coast and recorded from 1997 till 2001. The Assmen have recordings with Intensive Scare Records (NYC), Dirty Records (Phoenix,AZ), VMS Records (NYC), OX Fanzine (Germany), EErie Records (Erie,PA), Beer City Records (Milwaukee,WI), Breathmint Records (Southampton,PA), Cheapskate Records (Schenectady,NY), Crazy Bastard Records(Meatmen Tribute Compilation). The recordings above feature the bass playing of Gary Head and drums of Blammo on Hot Pearl Necklace. PeeWee's Playhouse, Remeber What You Told Me and Boots Are Made for Walking feature TJ BASTARD (Tradesmen) on bass along with Kenny (Sonic Medusa) on drums.After requests and persistent requests, Joey Assman has finally created the long awaited and anticipated rebirth of The Assmen. The Assmen have reformed with original bass player, Nate Gillies, who has finally moved back to Erie from Columbus, Ohio and new Assmen drummer, Justin MyNuts along with of course, Joey Assman / Guitar,Vocals.
