The Krabbz

About Me

In the early 90's, along the shores of Little Toby Creek, rock & roll legend was born-- they called themselves the Krabbz! The Krabbz (1991-1993) hailed from the tiny town of Brockway, PA. Louder than the Ramones, cooler than Elvis, more controversial than the Sex Pistols, the Krabbz were a rock & roll phenomenon. The brainchild of rock composer/producer Ned Rock and former "Image" bandmate Brian Boboige, this high energy rock trio packed bars and clubs all across Western/Central PA. Bringing together the genius of singer/songwriter/guitarist Paul Hoffman, and the raw energy of drummers Greg Carnesali (1991-1993) and "Lightning" Mike Ellis (1993), their style of music was a unique blend of hard rock and punk, with a pinch of hillbilly twang thrown in for added flavor. Best known for their live performances, the Krabbz could rock the house like nobody else-- packing every roadside bar between Punxsutawney and the New York state line (and were banned from several). When the Krabbz came to town—it was party time! Their albums got much critical acclaim and frequent air play on college radio. Their hit single "Bad Attitude" became a barroom anthem! During their hay-day, no other bar band could match the Krabbz' intensity, was more dysfunctional, or could fill a dance floor with as many intoxicatingly lovely ladies! Like a fine bottle of beer, the Krabbz' shelf life was short, but their story has become legend. Selling more albums than any other band from Brockway, their music will live on forever!!
