About Me

Lannaya is an extended family of dancers, drummers, singers, led by Master Drummer Alseny Sylla and new to Austin Abu Sylla, balaphone and all drums, with choreography by highly acclaimed guest artists, most recently Master Jean-Claude Lessou. We perform intricate and intoxicating dances, songs and rhythms from Guinea and the Ivory Coast, with a fierce and beautiful energy.
