It all began at south part of Johannesburg(South Africa) in a small township called Boipatong,Where Modimo (Jah) Blessed Mpho and Nomakhosazana with their last son Moeketsi(The Multiplier). Traditionally most Africans experience their first feel of Cultural-Arts from some of events like Birth and Naming Ceremonies etc. Then it goes to musical or artistical games we play as children to spice-up with western influence we were told to go to church and get involved in church choir and school choir. By the time i made a choice to walk this path I was ready with my culture and traditions as my background,I had to move to Cape Town where I had pursued my career and studied African Music and Dance Performance at the University of Cape Town.Thats were i've tasted the pot of all parts of African Traditions jelled together.I became a Djembe Fola!! In South Africa, I worked with large drumming companies such as DrummingSA and Team Spirit Productions , performing at the Cape Town Jazz Festival , 46664 Nelson Mandela AIDS Foundation concert , and Earth Water Fire Air . I was also a part of Imizwa ("Feelings") which was a marimba band formed of local Capetonian South Africans - my friends Themba, Linda, Zenzi, Charles, Soubry, and more!
Now i'm living in Oakland Bay Area of California. I play regularly with Ben and the Burnouts. ! I also play gigs with the African Outlet in San Francisco we are involved in Anual SF Carnivale! My day job i work with Attitudinal Hearling Connection, I'm a Cultural Intructor for this program in West Oakland/"Etheoakland",we have this program known as ArtEsteem were we try to eliminate crime in Etheoakland by providing After school programs,Block party and Assembly or anything that can help to pass the possitive massage to the community.
