Me - I started this page back in 2004 before MYSPACE blew up as a photo blog for my infant son so my family back in NYC could see my son grow up in Texas but now I am using it for both of us.
We are 4 and 38 years old and share some well many of the same interest well, just because he is my kid and where I go he goes! :-)
We moved from NYC to Austin Texas last year. I teach high school English, sing, dance and play drums in an all female African music ensemble called The Djembabes.
I love healthy living, the great outdoors, oh how much I miss the ocean living in Central Texas, thank Godess for Barton Springs, music of all genres, especailly Stevie, Erykah, Maxwell, Thelonious, and T'chiyah Amet to name a few of many, Chocolate, extreme weather, peace, my herb garden, road trippin', art, seafood, nappy hair, the internet, astrology and positivity!
I am a mother, teacher, friend, daughter, wife, child, student, lawyer, singer, counselor, lover, dreamer, voter, shopper, lazy workaholic afro-gypsy.AJANI - I love anything to do with music. I have two guitars; an acoustic (which was autographed by Laurie Berkner last year at Central Park Summer Stage) and an electric which my Grandma Zakee bought me! I love the drums and piano too. Since Austin is the live music capital of the world Mommy and Daddy are gonna make sure I get music lesson ASAP!
Ajani loves riding his Huffy, outer space, airplanes, Rudolph, soccer, t-ball, icepops, Mommy's quinoa and tofu, storytelling, Harold and the Purple Crayon, all things Thomas the Tank Engine, butterflys, swimming and Laurie Berkner.Ajani, at 4, is a philosopher, an athlete, a scholar, a healer, a musician, a thrillseeker, chillionaire a comedian, a hero and an overall really cool dude.
