About Me

Futuresound Music Ltd is based in Leeds and showcases bands both nationally and locally at several venues. The Cockpit is a music venue in Leeds. We opened in '94 and in our 12 year history we've had the likes of Coldplay, Korn, The White Stripes and even Cleopatra. Indeed! We also put on some clubnights. If you're around you can also pick up tickets at the venue.We also have our own record label, Dance To The Radio which currently brings you the likes of Yess Boss, Forward Russia, Sky Larkin and The Pigeon Detectives.We hold an annual competition for local bands with the chance to win a slot at Leeds Carling Festival on the unsigned stage. All local & unsigned bands based in or around Leeds! If you are in a local/unsigned band you could possibly feature on the bill at one of the cockpits unsigned nights! We book the vast majority of our gigs through recognised agents and deal, on the whole, with signed acts only. Very occasionally we have the opportunity to put an unsigned band on the bill with a signed act. If this is the case please note that we will only pick bands from the local area. If this is the case then we will get in touch with yourselves, please do not keep messaging and asking here! If you are based in Leeds, Bradford or surrounding areas please add yourselves to our list of friends/contacts for further news and events on unsigned nights and this years futuresound competition.
