We are currently looking for "recruits" If you have interest in historical preservation, would like to camp and fight battles, and just have a great time on a weekend; the 13th Virginia may just be for you!! We are the 13th Virgina company H based out of the Dayton Ohio area. Founded in 1987, we have been reenacting 20 years and counting. Our founding Captain led us through the 125th events and up to the 140th. We represent a common unit in the Confederate Military. The original unit was formed out of Winchester Va and was nicknamed the Boomerangs. The original men of the 13th saw service under A.P HIll and later under Gen. Jubal Early. We were a favorite company of "Stonewall" Jackson as well. Th 13th Virginia Today is comprised of living historians dedicated in the common goal of Civil War history and preservation. We have participated in many re-enactments and been extras in movies and documentries including "Glory","Gettysburg","Gods and Generals" and most recently "Johnny". The 13th has had prized rolls in these films due to our high standards of authenticity; as well as gaining a impressive stance in the re-enacting community.
