Lucy Holcombe Pickens, Queen of the Confederacy

I am here for Friends

About Me

You all know of the Southern Belle, but I am the original, I was known as the Queen of the Confederacy, a most deserved title, being that I was the only woman portrayed on Confederate money and considered the most beautiful and charmning woman in all of the South, I was born in La Grange, Tennessee, but consider Marshall, Texas my true home, I was married to Col. Francis Pickens, Governor of South Carolina during the war, before that, I charmed the Russian court while my husband served as minister to the Russian Tsar Alexander II, who was in love with me, like most of men that I encountered, I shall write more on myself later, when I configure a befitting description of myself, its not easy to put into words a woman with such charm as myself ;-)
