WHAT IS REIKI?
Simply speaking, Reiki is a “hands-on†method of reducing stress, promoting relaxation and speeding up the body’s own natural physical healing process. The word healing has a different meaning from the actual accepted meaning. It means to find the limitation, recognize the pattern, recognize where it came from and let it go. For example: A limitation may mean an emotional limitation – Feeling stressed out for whatever reason, which can turn into negative energy a.k.a. unhappiness. The goal is to release that stress so that you’re more balanced, relaxed, feeling positive and happy. As we know, stress is the number one cause of illness or disease in the physical body. Or for another example of a limitation may mean a physical limitation – If you injure yourself, you’re going to feel pain in that one specific area. Think of that as a cluster of energy all in one place, the goal is to release the energy to lessen the pain and promote the healing, recovery process. Reiki treats the whole person, including body, emotions, mind and spirit, and creates many beneficial effects, including relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well-being. Because Reiki is guided by God-consciousness, it can never do harm. Reiki is not a religion, people of all religions give Reiki and receive Reiki. It’s always helpful. It can be done on people, animals, and plants. Many hospitals now have staff that performs Reiki on hospital patients. Reiki is both powerful and gentle. Reiki will improve the results of all medical treatment, acting to reduce negative side effects, shorten healing time, reduce or eliminate pain, reduce stress, and help create optimism. A Reiki healing is very simply performed. The practitioner places his or her hands upon the person and then the energy begins flowing. The energy knows where to go, and manages its own flow to and within the recipient. Reiki flows through the affected parts and charges them with positive energy, around the physical body where the negative thoughts and feelings are attached. This causes the negative energy to break apart and fall away. During the Reiki session, you may feel a warming sensation on your skin or feel a deep sense of peace and relaxation. Reiki is a simple, natural, and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. After all, who wouldn’t want to feel less stress and better health? It’s time for a change. Reiki and change go hand in hand, literally. :)
