About Me

I am a proud woman with a hearty appetite for lyrics and language--be it slang, colloquial or with a fake-ass British accent, no importais. Fortunately, I am no longer allergic to chocolate and nuts. I tutor math, reading and writing, among other subjects, at the El Paso Community College's main campus thus am always smiling to be blessed with such a sensationally stimulating job that keeps my brain on its toes. No forgetting the quadratic equation, ya hear? My extracurricular activities include but are not limited to: painting, photography, kite-flying, and the sewing of my own skirts and puppets. My main passion is as follows: I have recently returned to my childhood passion of songwriting. I wrote my first song when I was 7 years old. I am presently exploring the sensational realm of rap and blues and hope to develop my virtues in these areas since I am enthralled with their vivid and challenging schematics. Holistically, I am a certified Reiki Master of the Violet Flame School and just this May 5th I received my mastership from Carol Quintana, whose lineage goes straight back to Dr. Mikao Usui. Using the innate ability found in us all and unleashing it to assist others heal themselves is unmeasurable in value. I hope to teach some reiki classes at UTEP this fall along with some poetry and spoken word ones. Scholastically, I am majoring in Creative Writing with a minor in Chicano studies. In the near future, I wish to transcend my physique to Austin, TX and build a cob house of my own invention and paint murals all over its walls. Apart from my dream of being a vocal performer on stage one day, my less sensational dream is to be an interpreter for the U.N. I wish to travel to the Isla de las Mujeres in Yucatan, the Inca ruins, the Andes in Peru, the Congo, the Amazon. I wish to smell the roses in Alaska and dip my toes in the muddy Mississippi river, but first and foremost, I wish to look for the snake's skeletal remains inside the walls of my mother's childhood adobe home located in Jalisco, Mexico. Whatever, whoever, whenever. Give me life. I'll slurp it bit by bit. I have a hungry stomach. I ain't deaf. I will continue on with these goals of mine, keep writing tunes and making videos as homemade as lemonade and eventually pop out some CD's and master a complex language like Chinese and hope the world loves my message. Influences: God in all forms--Buddha, Krishna,YHWH . Nature. Mother. My childhood religion. My current friends. My dreams. My visions. My quest for knowledge. Books. My genome. My Mexica heritage. Shamans. Prophets. Juarez--its aura, its people, its culture, its rawness, its simplicity, its loveliness, its good food. Every day with the sun beating through the car of my window as I drive to work, I thank God for creating me an artist. An artist eclipses so many things. An artist does not discriminate when choosing material for their work. They can be inspired by quantum physics, history, math or even sociology. In everything dwells the possibility of creation. I am thankful that I was given an artistic viewpoint. God blessed me in my mother's womb, kissed me on the forehead and branded me a creator, just like him. Everyone I have ever met has been a nugget of gold in my life. Everyone has sparked something magical in me that will eventually burst into a monstrous collage of emotions. I hope everyone I love is around to witness this explosion when it happens. Its coming soon. I feel it in my every cell. Stick around. Love me and I will reciprocate.
