About Me

My name is Matt Cornell, i'm new to myspace, thanks for the visit. If you have a couple of minutes to spare, i'd really love you to check out one of my songs. If you put the kettle on, by the time the water boils, you could have read all about me & maybe even listen to a song or two. If you like what you hear, please let me know, if you don't, thanks for listening. Ok, here's my story....... I sing, i write songs, play a few different instruments, bass guitar being the main one. I'm currently playing bass with Australias biggest male artist Shannon Noll, Aussie icon Richard Clapton & recent idol winner Damien Leith. Over the years i've also had the pleasure of playing, touring & recording with the Utopian Babies, Jenny Morris, David Campbell, Zinc & Angry Anderson. I've been fortunate to tour extensively both here & overseas, played such venues as CBGB's in NYC to the Roxy in LA & performed at SXSW in Austin Texas. I must admit, i've got a "thing" for Austin Texas, hence the title of my debut ep is "Miles From Texas". Former Utopian Babies frontman, Singer/Songwriter & Producer Dave Wilkins is producing my record, the tracks you can hear are yet to be mastered, but were mixed in LA by legendary Producer/Mixer Paul Lani (Robbie Williams,U2) & Engineered by Sydney Producer/Engineer Craig "pop" Porteils (Billy Idol, Cher). In the coming months i will return to the USA to meet with various record companies, i'll also be doing numerous acoustic shows throughout the country. Anyway, enough from me, can't wait to make some new friends on myspace, thanks for taking the time to hear about my world, Matty.
