Rare Records is a record store located in St. Kilda, Australia. But it's not just any record store; it's the store for cool music and rare stuff.
We've got 30000+ items instore, all worth having a look at. There's CDs, CD singles & promo CDs; 7", 10" & 12" vinyl; audio & video tapes; DVDs; tour programs, books & magazines; stickers & posters; t-shirts, hoodies, badges, patches & bags, and a ton of other random stuff that's just crazy!
We take pride in our comprehensive online catalogue: fully searchable, and easy to navigate for browsing. It contains in-depth details and tracklistings, as well as photos of every single item. We are adding new items to the site on a daily basis, so there's the What's New section to keep track of the latest stuff we get instore. We have an online ordering system in place, and we check all emails daily to keep be as prompt as possible with all orders and enquiry replies.
At RR, we're very much involved in the local music scene. We have a stage built into our store in St. Kilda, with a beautiful view overlooking the Acland St-Esplanade junction. We've had a heap of new local & Aussie bands come and play instores, including Sunk Loto , Karnivool , Rook , Trial Kennedy , Bushido , Sydonia , .hinge , and many more. Now, our saying at RR is: "if we ain't got it instore, we'll try are darndest to get our hands on it for ya!" Yes, we sell a lot of good stuff, but we're also more than happy to buy off you too, if it's something we want! NOTE: Bring your saleable goods into the store, we don't do quotes over the phone, it's too hard ... it may be the most rare item ever, but be absolutely stuffed!
