About Me

The Ocean Canvas (TOC) doesn't slip easily into the traditional 'rock' classification. The Melbourne based four piece use a broad palette of sounds, and plays tight, heavy rock interlaced with slow, atmospheric passages. Band bookers, fans, and curious onlookers alike say the band's unique sound is best described as 'progressive and ambient.'

Offspring of the early nineties Seattle explosion, TOC has been inspired by bands such as Soundgarden and Alice in Chains. Also evident in the band's sound is their passion for both trip hop and instrumental music, with key influences including Massive Attack and Mogwai.

After spending many years perfecting their sound, they are finally sharing their music with audiences across Melbourne, and intend to make a big impact this year.
