A Lonely Crowd

You could be forgiven for categorising us solely as an instrumental/experimental band. Over the stretch of the last two years we have gigged instrumentally around Melbourne with different line-ups in various guises. Feedback and reaction has been consistently positive. However, ALC started life with a vocalist and we still strive to include a voice or voices. We are also keen to expand the sound world with the use of other instruments.
The musical style of ALC is not easily defined…nor is it meant to be……further, we have no desire to align ourselves to a specific musical style/genre to follow past or current trends. We just do what we have to do…..and hopefully someone sometime somewhere will embrace it…….hmm pass us that bottle will ya.
Some food for thought:
1. Despite vicious rumours, we have never performed our music backwards. 2. Melbourne has a healthy music scene, but is also a cesspool of parasites and plagiarists in the form of cover bands, tribute bands and wanna-be bands, which choke the life out of the original scene. 3. When was the last time a Melbourne booker attended a gig they booked? 4. Never confuse boundless energy and onstage theatrics with competent musicianship. 5. Chevy Chaffing is preventable.
