The word has spread fast about Genes vulva and this young Sydney four-piece act, who hit the stage in March of 2007 and quickly became a sought-after act by many of the top local acts, constantly blowing away crowds at some of Sydney and Melbourne's premier venues including the Gaelic Club, the Annandale Hotel, The Ding Dong Lounge, Bar Broadway, The Evelyn and Candy’s Apartment.

Enlisting the talents of producer/mixer Dave Petrovic (Cog, Tyler’s Riot, Bagster), the band entered Electric Sun Studios to fashion their debut, self-titled EP; an EP that can’t be pigeonholed, which ebbs and flows from soaring melodies and sweet washes of keyboard to a full-blown heavy rhythmic onslaught.
