I was born in Ft.Riley Kansas, but moved to east Tennessee before my first birthday. I have called east TN home ever since. Music has always been a very big part of my life. I sang my first solo at age 13 and have pretty much been singing ever since. In March of 2004 ,a couple of days after returning from a weekend of singing down in Florida, I had a seizure in the middle of the night, while sleeping. I was taken to the Sweetwater hospital, where they started running tests on me. I was sitting in one of the examination rooms with my wife, when suddenly a Dr. rushed in and said" Mr. Moses, we think you have a bleeder. Lifestar is on it's way to pick you up. We are sending you to U.T. Medical Center, where they have a neurolgy staff to best take care of you." So I was loaded into a helicopter and flown to Knoxville. I had several tests which shown evidence of a tumor in my right temporial lobe. My doctor advised me that I would undergo surgery to have this removed. He thought the surgery would take about an hour and a half. When the surgeon got in, he found that the tumor was much larger than he expected. It had also wrapped itself around the main artery which supplies blood to the brain. Nearly 7 hours later, the surgery was complete. By God's divine Grace, He had used the Dr.'s hand to start the healing in my body. Less than 2 weeks after my brain surgery, I played golf with my dad, my brother in-law, and my nephew. In less than a month, I was back singing with Pure Heart. God handled it all. Now, 3 years later, if I didn't know that I'd had surgery, I wouldn't know I'd had surgery. God has been Very Good to me..... I enjoy most all types of music. If it has great music, great lyrics, and great vocals then chances are I will like it.
