Uppacutz is a record label dedicated to the Nu-Rave music scene. Nu-Rave is NOT the Klaxons nor has it anything to do with NME magazine and their attempts to re-package Rave music. It is a genre of music that bases itself on the original Rave scene and aims to bring things firmly into the 21st Century with a new dimension and an added twist!
Our first release features two monster tunes from the Hardcore Projektz head-honcho Darkus and is currently available to buy from all good record stores. One More is a dark and driving breaks crossover track featuring vocals from the legendary MC Mad P of Top Buzz fame and has the word anthem written all over it. Vibes N Ting is an uplifting and bouncy production that will get the Old Skool headz nodding up and down in reminiscent appreciation!
For our second release (October 2007) we go international and welcome aboard two established producers from Sweden and Poland. Peo de Pitte smacks it with the superb Old Skool in the House which has been going down a storm on the Rave circuit, whilst Prove Correct gives us the stunning Crash Bash that combines gorgeous vocals and strings with faster and more energetic breakbeat structures. Don’t just take our word for it though, check out the clips above!
Finally we’d like to say a massive thank you to all the DJs and Ravers who have supported our first release. The response has been overwhelming to say the least and it’s a real buzz being able to share our passion with so many people. As it’s always been, this scene isn’t about any one person or sound, it’s about everyone coming together and enjoying the freedom to express themselves!
