DJ FAYDZ

About Me

Faydz is one of the most sought after DJ's in the Club scene and booked by all the major promoters at events throughout the UK and abroad. He's well known for his unique scratching skills and exclusive bootlegs he mixes into his energetic sets. A DJ with a fantastic ability to read a crowd and know exactly what they want, which only comes from years of experience. From illegal raves in muddy fields and dirty warehouses to today’s Superclubs and 5,000 capacity arenas, Faydz has played them all. DJing isn't just a job to him, it's a passion and you only have to watch him at work to see that he puts his heart and soul into every performance.

Way back in the 1980's, Faydz was a massive Hip-Hop fan. His favourite artists included RUN DMC, The Beastie Boys, Public Enemy and N.W.A. but it was 1989 when he heard his first 'Acid Mix Tape' at school that Faydz was hooked on the fresh and exciting sound of Rave music. The next couple of years were spent collecting vinyl and practising on the Technics 1210's in his local record shop 'Homeboyz' in Swindon, Wiltshire, inspired by the Rave scenes finest scratch DJ's at the time, Ratty, Sy and Hype. It was 1992 that Faydz bought his first pair of decks and after attending one of the biggest raves in history that year, Fantazia - One Step Beyond at Castle Donnington (30,000 Hardcore ravers!) Faydz was hungry for success and the rest as they say, is history...

Faydz has gone on to perform at some of the most prestigious venues in the UK and Europe for some of the biggest promoters in the dance music industry including -SLAMMIN' VINYL / HARDCORE TILL I DIE / HARDCORE HEAVEN / UPROAR / RAINDANCE / RAVER BABY / HELTER SKELTER / GATECRASHER / SUNDISSENTIAL / GARAGE NATION

He has promoted his own nights XpressionZ and Rejuven8, hosting Old Skool/Drum & Bass arenas at The Fruit Club, Uproar and also at various night-spots around the county of Wiltshire. From 2001 - 2006, Faydz provided the cuts and scratches for Bristol based Hip-Hop band Zark 7 at venues through out the South West. He's worked in Radio, hosting shows on various legal and illegal stations, produces his own dance music and has given mixing/scratching tutorials and advice to the up and coming DJ talent in schools and youth groups.

DJ Faydz can be booked to play music from the following genres -

HOUSE / BREAKS / OLD SKOOL RAVE / TRANCE / DRUM & BASS / HARDCORE / GARAGE / HARD HOUSE / OLD SKOOL HIP-HOP

His promotional event XpressionZ, covering Club Classics from 1988-2008, is also available to book at Clubs and Bars. Please phone or email for further information.
