1: Living In A Dub - DJ Running Man
The lead track on this release splices genres in half, and sticks them back together again the other way round. A dub step styled intro, forged by delicate beats, dub bleeps and effects, are solidified by a warm analog sounding bass line and vocal snipets. Full on breaks, amens and dark basslines gallore, crash in on the drop, and are ever increasing in intensity throuout the track to the very end .
2: Choon Called Choon - DJ Running Man & Sous Chef
An uplifting synth riff at the start of the B side, sets the mood for this Jungle Techno monster. Oldskool sounding vocals and a thumping 4/4 kick build, and are swiftly joined by sychedlic bleeps, whilst the main riff is ever filtering upwards. A dirty Fm synth and waitey sub bass slam in on the break down, joined by more junglist vocals. These build and distort, until the furious drop comes tearing in with a savage breakbeat.

1: Liquid Technology - DJ Running Man
Running Man delivers Liquid Technology, a track that starts as it means to go on. Furious electro synths and punching beats kick off the track on the intro. These are quickly met by a deep sub and layered breaks. An ever fluctuating, filtered reece creeps in on the break down, and fully launches on the drop. Hardcore synth stabs and a range of distorted grooves keep you guessing and moving throughout. Combining to deliver a track of awesome proportions.
2: Star Ship Troopers - DJ Running Man
Snapping snares and rushing hi-hats accompany a luscious synth riff and a wealth of special effects on the intro. A pulsating kick shores up the rolling beats and rides the track to the break down. A transforming lead synth and cascading sweeps, slickly bridge the gap before the drop. Where a deep sub bass, dubbed out vocals and super fast scratching cut through the mix, creating a solid and uplifting voyage.

A1: Techno Bop – DJ Running Man
First track on this release is delivered by Firewall Records head honcho, Running Man. Techno Bop is a cutting edge Hardcore Breaks/Nu-Rave track that has a real dance floor appeal, but manages to achieve this with some of the darkest flavours heard in the genre to date. Pitch shifting, filtered and brilliantly programmed basslines combine with rolling beats, and raw synth stabs to make this one a real slammer. .
A2: City Of Sin – Transformer Man vs The Phantom
Prolific Nu-Skool producer, Transformer Man and the mysterious Phantom, making his second appearance on Firewall, have teamed up on the second track and come up with something quite special. A super dark reece, takes control of the track from the drop and carries the stepping beat throughout. Swithing to sub rollouts and layered with the City Of Sin vocal, this truly one for the steppers!!
AA1: Ruffneck Scout – 2 B In Love
Hailing from Italy, 2 B In Love is Ruffneck Scouts first Hardcore Breaks track to be released on vinyl. Catchy reggae styles kick off the intro, followed by rolling beats and the 2 B In Love vocals. A massive lead synth, rocks the breakdown and ensures the drop slaps in with real velocity. Intricate programming and a lush sound scape, combine with catchy riffs, vocal and effects to build a musical belter!
AA2: Cybass – 4u & 4me
The first Hardcore Breaks/Nu-Rave release from a Brazilian artist to date, comes from Cybass. Already a producer in the dnb scene, most recently with a release on the Dogs On Acid label ‘Under Construction’, and other breakbeat releases include tracks on Silo records, Rubik, Keynote and more... 4u & 4me uses classic reggae riffs and vocal samples alongside fresh synths and tearing breaks to make a Jungle roller with a new edge.

A1: Sparky – Sometimes Dumb
Seasoned engineer and Hardcore producer, Sparky, makes his debut to Firewall Records and the Hardcore Breaks scene with this tearing track. Crisp atmospherics and a rolling beat that builds and builds on its way to the drop out, are joined by a nasty distorted synth that creeps into the mix. All these elements come to a head and quickly switch into a filthy baseline complimented with pounding beats on the drop. A hands in the air piano line comes in halfway through the tune and is met by a soothing sub bass to make this a dance floor smasher.
A2: Screwball - Natural High
One of the best new talents to come out of Poland. Screwball has been making big waves in the Hardcore Breaks scene. Bleeps and synths have you hypnotised by the time the big beat hits you to slap strait back to reality, whilst high pitched vocals add to the atmosphere. Rolling beats and huge sub bass come slamming in on top of a killer piano line on the drop. After a break down into industrial stabs and atmospherics, more rolling beats and a warped bassline kick in on the second drop, to take this track to the next level.
AA1: Running Man - Warped Sense of Humour
Running Man's second release on Firewall, turns out to be even dirtier than the first. Dark atmospherics are joined by a thumping jungle techno beat, that twists into chopped up beat trickery at the end of the phrase, just before a sinister hoover rift comes in to take the track to the drop out, where a warped baseline builds with the hoover and atmospherics, before its met by a tearing amen on the drop. Chops, changes, a heavy bassline and intricate beat programming are promised to smash up any rave.
AA2: Kingsize - No Beating Around The Bush
No stranger to the original Hardcore Breaks fans, Kingsize has had releases on several of the biggest labels in the scene already. Beats build and quickly turn into a carefully crafted amen. Suddenly a distorted synth sound comes in out of nowhere to stop you dead in your tracks, before the crashing amen comes back to set you off again. An oldskool piano line and vocal, break down half way though the track, and are met again by the amen, slowly morphing back into the orginal distorted synth rift. This track does exactly what it says on the tin.

A1: Malice On & On
One of the biggest names in the scene, and co-owner of 2 Fresh Records, Malice has a unique style that has become his trademark. Rolling beats with intricate feels and super fast lyrics combine with a warped bass line to keep this track tearing along. Oldskool stabs and slick synths, build up to create a solid slab of liquid hardcore.
A2: Running Man Blackboard Jungle
Unsocial Audios number one drum and bass producer, has been making big waves in the Hardcore Breaks scene. Pounding breakbeats build, whilst reggae lyrics and dubbed out pianos create a soul soothing ambience that carry this tune to the break. A truly dark bassline and fierce amen combine on the drop, to make Blackboard Jungle a dance floor slammer!
AA1: Amnexiac Go!
Spains number one Hardcore Breaks producers are on form for this white knuckle ride. The main vocal is complimented by hard edged drum programming and heavy synth leads that become even more intense in the breakdown. Funky, rolling breaks and hefty sub bass, pull together with the synth to create a very new sound on the drop.
AA2: Darkus Vs The Phantom 4 Elements
Hardcore Projektz main man, and a pioneer in the scene, Darkus, teams up with The Phantom. Tumbling beats kick the track off, with faint synths and fx to make rolling intro. An oldskool rift on the breakdown, creates a dark hands in the air moment, and rolls through the drop getting phater on its way. The 4 elements vocals on the second drop separate the track nicely, and introduce more of a reggae feel to the second half.
