About Me

Ian Vatet has been a shameless guitar nut since his first S&H Green Stamps guitar in 1970 or so. Grew up in a little town outside of Syracuse, NY, lived in Ann Arbor, MI for eight years or so, and has hunkered down in sunny SOCAL for most of the years since the late 1980's. The Ann Arbor years saw countless gigs with The Urbations, Radio King, Private Sector, Space Heaters, and various other splinter projects as well as studio projects with Lindsay Tomasic and others. A fairly demanding day job has slowed the performing down in recent years, but the occasional gig with Gumbo Ya Ya, Bad Dog, Chet Cannon and the Committee, Tommy Budd and Windy City, and others have kept the cobwebs blown out of the amplifiers, and some delightful and stimulating time in the studio with John Helsley has kept the cobwebs out of my mind. The tracks heard here are all bedroom demos with long time partner in crime Gerry Reba... stay tuned for a genuine studio effort in 2008.
