Urbanbass.tv will be a 24/7 online tv station dedicated to Urban music, Animation and short films from the North West and around the globe. Urbanbass.tv will profile artists from the underground street level as well as established artists. We will be having presented shows / short animations / films / interviews / live steams from music events and festivals. We will be updating everything soon. Dpercussion was established 10 years ago and originally called Repercussion. It was set up in response to the 1996 IRA bomb that tore the heart out of Manchester. Dpercussion is now the biggest cutting edge free festival in the north of England with 80,000 people anticipated to attend this year. Over 150 live artists and Dj’s will perform on 9 stages with platforms for showcasing film makers and visual artists.
This time the ‘D’ stands for decade.2007 celebrates 10 glorious years of Dpercussion and is set to be the biggest and best yet. We will be taking over the Urban heritage area of Castlefield for the first weekend of August.
Its that time of year again and we are looking for Artists and Groups to enter the D-Percussion Urban Stage talent search. This year we will be having four heats around Greater Manchester in Bolton, Preston, Oldham and Manchester centre. If you would like to enter this talent search then all you have to do is click on the D-Percussion flyer below and fill out the online application to enter yourself as an Artists or as a Group. Please complete the full form and once we recieve your application we will confirm your place in the competition.
The main genre's we are looking for are Hip Hop . Grime . RnB . Niche . Garage . Dub Step etc - no dj only entrants - All vocalists / rappers must perform live over there own backing tracks.
Only eight acts will go on into the final on the 4th August 2007. The Final will be held on the Urban stage at the D-Percussion festival in Manchester. All artists will be notified of heat dates and venues by phone and e.mail. Good Luck!
