About Me

Michelle Udogu aka ''Ebere'' started her career singing freestyle in Clubs and House parties in Manchester. She frequently immerses herself in Nigerian and Cuban Orisha influences and has collaborated with bands such as Speakeasy and River Niger Band at the festival de Senigallia. She has a repertoire of traditional Cuban/ Nigerian Songs deriving from Santeria and Candomble and regularly plays alongside Master Bata Drummers from Cuba and the UK.Michelle claims her unique and soulful vocals are a result of her maintaining an open mind in the experimentation of Music.One of her major gigs provided her with the awesome opportunity to support Public Enemy at The Manchester Academy in October 03Recently Michelle has been involved with a group called Urban Voices, and appeared on the BBC with this collective. As part of her collective passions she is also a part of Speakeasy which has a residency at the Green Room. The Collective is a spoken word, promoting Black artists nationally and Internationally.Very Recently Michelle has been apart of the Manchester Gospel Choir for Damon Albans - Gorilllaz Live at the Opera House for the Manchester International Festival.At the moment Michelle is singing with the "Sing out Choir" and Urban Voices and recording in the Studio with "2FlyOverLoad", an electro Samba Producer..........In 2008 Michelle is working with BBC Tv on a drama , Performing and recording with a 5 peice Cuban alternative Band and has recently recorded with BACDRAFT duo.
