Father Time

I am Father Time and have been refered to as a mythical personification of time. I am usually depicted as an elderly bearded man, dressed in a robe, carrying an hourglass or other timekeeping device (representing time's constant movement). This image is culled from several sources, including the Holly King, the Celtic god of the dying year, and Chronos, the Greek god of time. Because of our similarity in name as pertaining to parental figures, I am sometimes paired with Mother Nature as a married couple. The Time Cycle can take the Father of Time anywhere into the past or future but he doesn't always have control of where he is going. The Father of time has a 21 inch arm. That's without a pump. I peer down on the world and likes not what I see. In all my wisdom, I shed a tear for you! Perhaps, I know the direction you are headed. Time is of the essence. Your clock is ticking.
