About Me

'Tis always the Season of the Witches...
I love the miss-fits most of all...
Ladies and Gentlemen: the porn capitol of the world! Home, sweet home...
I work at a book publishing company, and I also teach Anusara/Restorative yoga. I write plays, short stories, poems, and songs, and am mostly creative in my spare time. I am interested in spending time with people who are also creative; this is the main thing that interests me in life. I would like to meet like-minded people who spend the majority of their time creating (in any capacity), rather than consuming. I host a creative writing group once a month -- 'Writer's Emporium Club' -- if you are interested in attending, let me know. It is stream-of-consciousness-musings written on the spot, then read out loud to the group. There is wine and cheese involved. You bring the wine and the cheese (of course I will need to do a background check before you attend, and there is a tar-and-feathering ceremony at your first meeting, just FYI). I like whip-smart (but not 'know-it-all') types, who are down to earth, and artistic, with 'hippie' sensibilities. I am open-minded; Punk rockers are hot, too. Or anyone with an innovative spirit. Money only interests me in that it enables me to do what I truly love to do. I'm not impressed by material objects, but by what is going on in someone's head and heart. If you drive a fancy car that's nice, but honestly I could care less. I could spend hours in a thrift shop or bookstore, and like dive-y bars with red vinyl booths. I am mostly happy and optimistic, and like to spend time with people who are satisfied with what's going on in their lives. I think that we shape our own realities with our thoughts.I love music (mostly alternative KCRW stuff), and like to dance. I take yoga classes, and hike/walk in the hills often. I love good food and red wine, and am very healthy (physically and emotionally) with energy to burn! I am usually drawn to someone with a good sense of goofy humor (*I love geeks!*). Independence is very important to me, as I need a lot of time to pursue what's meaningful to me, and I honor that in other people. Chemistry is extra-special, like roses made out of frosting.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Open-minded, creative, fun-loving hooligans. Extra-special, radiating (but not radio-active), covered-in-glitter mesmerising beings. Someone to eat ice-cream with.

Heroes:

Blythe. Blythe is just a doll, you say. Yes, she is a doll, but to me she represents stoicism. She has seen it all (you can see that in her eyes), but she is strong, and is always hopeful. She has experienced great pain, but she emanates beauty. She ponders things. She mulls them over. She never acts rashly, though she is spontaneous and lives life to the fullest. She is independent, and 'different' from the rest. She has exceptional fashion sense and style, even when she is melancholy. Though she is 'just' a doll, I can say I respect her, admire her, and love her. Who's going to stop me? 'Meathead' from 'All in the Family'. My friends...I greatly appreciate you. People who have their cake, and eat it, too (as one of my good friends likes to say: "What's the point of having cake, if you don't eat it?"). Eaten, of course, with love, respect, and *honesty*. *Intention is everything, and can be smelled as acutely as chemistry is felt*.
Loose Woman:They say I'm a beast. And feast on it. When all along I thought that's what a woman was. They say I'm a bitch. Or witch. I've claimed the same and never winced. They say I'm a macha, hell on wheels, viva-la-vulva, fire and brimstone, man-hating, devastating, boogey-woman lesbian. Not necessarily, but I like the compliment. The mob arrives with stones and sticks to maim and lame and do me in. All the same, when I open my mouth, they wobble like gin.Diamonds and pearls tumble from my tongue. Or toads and serpents. Depending on the mood I'm in.I like the itch I provoke. The rustle of rumor like crinoline.I am the woman of myth and bullshit. (True. I authored some of it.) I built my house of ill repute. Brick by brick. Labored, loved and masoned it.I live like so. Heart as sail, ballast, rudder, bow. Rowdy. Indulgent to excess. My sin and success-- I think of me to gluttony.By all accounts I am a danger to society. I'm Pancha Villa.I break laws, upset the natural order, anguish the Pope and make fathers cry. I am beyond the jaw of law. I'm la desperada, most-wanted public enemy. My happy picture grinning from the wall.I strike terror among the men. I can't be bothered what they think. ?Que se vayan a la ching chang chong! For this, the cross, the Calvary. In other words, I'm anarchy.I'm an aim-well, shoot-sharp, sharp-tongued, sharp-thinking, fast-speaking, foot-loose, loose-tongued, let-loose, woman-on-the-loose loose woman. Beware, honey.I'm Bitch. Beast. Macha. ?Wale! Ping! Ping! Ping! I break things.~sandra cisneros
