About Me

Profile Edited by MPS MySpace Editor 2.0The Road To Change is a song that speaks of destiny.Listen to the lyrics and be edified. My life is a gift...and what I do with it is my THANK YOU back to God...That is why I love to worship and write songs, melodies and progressions that exalt HIM... I learned a lot about minstry while attending Oral Roberts University and singing in the Television Singers. While there in Tulsa OK, my then pastor James Hill taught me about living in The Word and seeking God.It changed my entire life forever!!! Thank you Pastor Hill. You should get his book "The Meditation Book". Just go to www.nccministries.org.I remember one evening back in 1989, standing up in Oklahoma City to lead worship.I had my worship list in place, but when I stood the song "Worthy To Be Praised" was born.It wasn’t planned...God just deposited in my spirit and out it came.Micah Stampley recorded that song many years after and took it to new heights. God has blessed me with the gift of writing songs.I feel that it is an awesome responsibility.A song is like a seed.As the wind blows seeds are scattered abroad and reproduces after its kind. A song does the same thing. That is why we must guard our ear gates. And guard our hearts so that we don’t write filth. I thank God for the honor of allowing me to travel through out the world with the seed of song that He has so Graciously Given. These songs have taken me to South Africa, brought me to the Royal Palace of Swaziland before the king,to England,Canada,The Bahamas,Jamaica,Trinidad,South America,Hickam Airforce Base in Hawaii,Norway and through out the United States. In July 2007 I had the honor of going to The Congo to minister in music and in missions. It was so very awesome. There music is unreal. I love it. They are also some of the most hospitable people on the face of the earth. Thank you Pastor Mavinga and your wonderful congregation. I am so very thankful for all that you all shared with us.I also want to give a shout out on behalf of my personal trainer Tim Harvin. He works me really hard. I really need it. Tim is the best!!! If you live in the Maryland area and need a personal trainer you really need to call him. I have a ways to go...But I am on my way!!!! Tim does not play...WOW!!! Or should I say Ouch-a-luia!!! You may contact him at www.tjhltd.tblast.com or www.tjhltd.cyberwize.com. You will be glad that you did!!!! Some my compositions have been recorded by such awesome ministry gifts as Bishop TD Jakes,Micah Stampley,Beverly Crawford,Carman,Ron Kenoly,Morris Chapman,O’landa Drapper (Stellar Award Winning Recording) and The Voices Golden of Trinidad West Indies. I am so very grateful for the privilege of teaching at a Christian School.I have the honor and responsibility of casting Vision and preparing the students for Destiny. At times I know that I am really getting on their nerves...But they will get it after while.I love them and I want the best for them!!! One of my dreams is to have some of my music used in theater and screen. I believe that we should be a Light in every market place. To purchase my CD go to keithchildress.com. Blessings.
