SISTER C - JOYFM 101.9 RADIO PERSONALITY & HOS

For the past 13 years, the Bahamas has been shaken, stirred, lifted, rocked, inspired and called to a higher spiritual consciousness. With one voice, one mic, one studio, an infectious personality, a plethora of outstanding gospel music, phenomenal natural talent and a God-given platform, Sister C has ascended the ranks and established herself as far more than a Gospel Announcer!
Everyday from 2pm-6pm on the nations Premier Gospel Station(JoyFM), her upbeat personality floats through the airways, landing in the homes of thousands of Bahamians. She is a source of strength, enlightenment and encouragement. Sister C's life story is a credit to God’s faithfulness and her experiences make her relatable to audiences of all ages.
The third of six children, Claudia Gibson was born with a gift from God that she used unknowingly as a child; using a hair brush as a mic, a mirror and her imagination to sing, and announce as if on the radio; to some a quirk, but in reality it was the manifestation of her destiny.
After graduating high school, Claudia made a living working everywhere from a Deli making sandwiches to a Security Firm as a Radio Dispatcher. She worked diligently and with excellence, honing her strong work ethics.
It was in 1994 that she stepped into the light. Shortly after receiving Christ, she received an invitation from 94.9 MoreFM to work in their Traffic Department. She reluctantly accepted, realizing that the Radio Station was unfamiliar territory for her. But as she progressed in the company it became obvious that she had more skills and creativity than the job required and was given additional responsibility as MoreFM’s first Gospel Announcer. It was at this point that she became “Sister C”, a vivacious, strong and encouraging personality winning over a solid and devoted fan base.
Her talent and passion has been recognized by a broad spectrum of Organizations who have used her for their events. She has co-hosted and shared the stage with the likes of Bobby Jones and Yolanda Adams and has hosted numerous Award shows including the Marlin Awards.
In 2003 she left More FM and joined the staff of JoyFM 101.9, where she continues until now.
A seasoned Announcer, creative Voice Talent, Host and an inspiration; Sister C is for many a bright light on many dark days, a joy to listen to, a humble and genuine person, a Counselor and encourager.
She has not scratched the surface of who she will become by God’s grace!
