BIO:
Mother Gaia were born in April 2006 from the collaboration among Sara Fadda (voice), Stefano Gaeta (guitars) and Stefano Ancis (keyboards), with the purpose to put together their ideas and emotions in order to compose and record some new songs for a future album.
Their different influences and experiences gave birth to an energic and emotional Goth Rock. After some months of hard working, they decided to complete the line-up with two friends of theirs: Francesco Masala (bass) and Angelo Iesu (drums).
In December 2006, Mother Gaia recorded their first two songs: "Save me" and "By my side " and
from January to February 2007, “Close your eyesâ€, “My cross to bearâ€, “Gaiaâ€, “I’ll be with you†and the final version of “Save me†and “By my side†.
In February the band sent away Francesco for musical incompatibility reasons and after a month and several auditions, replaced him with Elenora Cugurullo as new bass player.
In April 2007, Stefano Gaeta leaved Mother Gaia because of professional incompatibility with some members.
The band stopped the activity for a month and after a meeting, Stefano confirmed his decision and also Angelo and Elonora leaved the project.
Sara and Stefano Ancis decided to go on with their project and started a search for new members.
The choice fell upon Alessio Sorbo as bass player, Gianluca Cuccu and Manolo Basciu as guitarists and Matteo Rampi as new drummer.
They are also composing new songs to replace the old ones written by Stefano Gaeta.
