SELLISTERNIUM
The band SELLISTERNIUM came into being at the end of 1999 in Bydgoszcz.
From the first half of the year 2000 to 2001 the band had been playing lots of concerts in clubs in Bydgoszcz (among others Sanatorium, Los Desperados) and in the open-air gigs (like Muszla Koncertowa, Wyspa Mlynska).
Taking part in a music competition organized by the Provincial Cultural Centre Muzyczny Ogrod SELLISTERNIUM awarded a prize that allowed them to record their first demo in the Radio PIK studio in Bydgoszcz.
Unfortunately, after 2001, the members of the band drifted apart.
Only after two years of silence, with a different and fresh outlook on their work, the band have started the activity in a completely new frame (from the original group only Anna Pietrzak and Marcin Koleniec have remained), in which they play until now.
The music of the SELLISTERNIUM is a mixture of moody art rock / metal with some influence of progressive - gothic rock.
In 2005 the band played in Bydgoszcz many very successful concerts, as well as outside the city (Sepolno Krajenskie). The year 2006 also abounded in a great number of shows in Bydgoszcz (clubs Monarchia or Spin). We gave a concert in Ilawa, as well.
At the beginning of August 2006 the SELLISTERNIUM started recording their music material titled "FURIA".
The whole music was recorded in the legendary studio of MOZG in Bydgoszcz under executive supervision of Grzegorz Kazmierczak (leader of Variete group) who has also been dealing with finishing of all tracks.
The works will have been going on till the middle of October.
"FURIA" finally consists of ten tracks.

Year 2007 started with a very successful concert in Dyrekcja Music Club. Another gig in this club took place in April – when Sellisternium played together with Dandelion Wine from Australia.
In May 2007 we were asked to join the project of a world-famous artist from Germany - Sara Noxx. We took part in recording her “Best Of†album.
On the album you will find not only the most popular tracks of Sara, but also covers of her tracks played by artist from all over the world in their native languages (eg. German, Japanese, Greek, Slovak, Italian and Russian).
Sellisternium recorded a polish version of a song called "If you" at Mozg Studio, Bydgoszcz June 17 th – 18 th.
Recording engineering and mixing were done by Grzegorz Kazmierczak. The album was mastered and produced in Germany. It is called “XX-Ray†and it is going to be released in the beginning of 2008.
The nearest plan of Sellisternium is to find a publisher and play planty of concerts not only in Poland but also abroad.
