Player of Bass 4/5 cord Fretted, Fretless, Double Bass, Guitar.
Italian musician born in Abruzzo in 1959. His career started at the age of 14 as autodidact.
At 18 he began studying Bass with his very first Fender Jazz Bass Vintage CAR and attended a Stage, as well as Courses and Seminaries, Jam and Overall Music, held by the major International Bassist, such as M. Miller, A. Johnson, G. Willis, Laboriel and others. At the same time there were also important event in his life and Jam premieres with artist of calibre Erskine, Vieira, Acuna, Colaiuta …..
These are his more stimulating experiences either in Studio or Live: Cooperation with Otmaro Ruiz, Alfonso Vieira (drums of Toquino-De Paula-Jobim, Mingus), Mario Schilirò (Zucchero Guitar), Loretta Goggi, Del Turco, Morandi, Mannoia, Alan White, Fontana, Radus and many other Italian performers. He has also distinguished himself by playing and recording throughout his life.
He devoted himself to the study of technique and style evolutions of the major bassists and emerging groups over the past twenty years. Mr. Voconi ha always been looking for the best musical instruments, from Vintage to the most recent technologies useful either for the personal set up and sound and musical performances.
He has been an Endorser and cooperation for many a Mark and Musical Centre for clinicians, demo and ha presented the best know musical instruments.
He ha played in severals Concerts, Live Music Clubs, Pubs, Outdoor Shows, Teatres, Public Squares and stages attending more than 40.000 persons and ha worked with several artist and group.
He has also performed on TV, Rai and Mediaset.
Ever if die is considered Bassist of Latin Jazz, Fusion, Acid Jazz, Nu Jazz, Funk and plays Latin American Music, he is also very close to the Pop/Fusion of S.Wonder, Jamiroquay, Toto, Yellowjackect, Incognito, Spyro Gyra, U2, Queen and other famous groups. Mr. Voconi is extremely eclectic and posses a total vision of the various performing techniques.
He has obtained a Master in Computer Studies, Media Studies Adviser and has acquired a twenty year experience in this field.
Sound Designer with excellent experience as a designer of sound, choice and design of equipment. He is an expert in Computer Music, Interfacing, Programming and in the use of Software and Midi Peripheral.
