Writing and Preparing for Hell on Earth

About Me

[insert Em’s evil banner here]Drae - Drums / Lead vocals....Born in Hell, still living in Hell...Drae makes a new mark in the realm of auditory stimulation,or at least tries to. Coming from all different aspects in the art of music, and influences ranging from Type O Negative to the Cult to Siouxie and the Banshees. Starting it all off in a couple garage bands with friends, and finding other musicians to jam with along the paths of life, has rapidly progressed as a musician. First real performance experience started with Veil from 2002-2004 (currently members of Humanwine). This was an important monument in this life for Drae. Learning how to become versatile, find an instrument in anything, and start to learn about the art of dynamics. Teetering in the fantastic world of celtic, gypsee, circus music with a hint of folk and a dash of rock, Veil had brought alot to the table. After the recording of Humanwine’s full length "For Burning Cities Present", Drae was let go to evolve yet again. Never to forget the experience and bond like family with the band. After a couple months, Graveyard Shyft was first assembled. From 2004-2005 was a new evolution in songwriting and music style. Here is where the foundation was laid. During a slow point, Drae went in as a fill-in for Mongrel in 2006. From 2006-2007 was considered temporary assignment to Mongrel, with all due respect to Mongrel as a very strong supporter to the local music scene and beyond (we kicked ass and took names, never really a dull moment here). Another sure point and reminder that bands are like families and we never forget each other. Now 2007 marks a new beginning in Graveyard Shyft history. Hell on Earth is now.Cassandra - Keyboards/Vocals ... Since a young age has been musically stimulated by metal and classic rock, interests expanded to etherial & worldly sounds. Though years has been dedicated to lone song writing and self taught instruments, her first live performance was a couple years ago as a vocalist. Voice and it’s diversities is her passion, all other methods of noise making follow.Jason - Bass -Taurus brother of Cassandra and existing in Nashua, New Hampshire. Been playing bass for centuries. Like to drink beer, smoke the herb, think of dead girls, and play bass in a rock/metal band. A new member himself, brings some really solid playing. With him on board, This band will definately take a newer and rejuvenated form.Shawn - Brother of Drae, has just been a recent addition to Graveyard Shyft. Bringing to the table a new variety of sound and energy, is a great asset to the music. Schooled as a young one in music, he brings an abundance of new ideas and playing styles. With plenty of music theory experience, and versed well in the art of making music, this is his first official project. Who better to join a band with than your own blood.
