Original designs from an ancient art for you to wear...

About Me

http://stores.ebay.com/tarottagsThank you all for stopping by!
THE EVOLUTION OF “PACIFIC GYPSY”
Fascinated by the imagery and lore of the Tarot , artist Kathleen King had been studying the Tarot for fun and doing readings for friends for many years. The designs of traditional decks however, always seemed somehow ‘darker’ and more foreboding than the energy she felt from the symbolism and meanings of the cards in concept.
So the artist began to sketch her own designs as a break from her regular work. She wanted to keep the naive, folk art, earthy feeling of classic decks but using brighter colors, more ethnic diversity, an eclectic palette and a more liberated aesthetic.
Ms. King began calling her deck “Pacific Gypsy”
One day a friend called saying he had just started a company that produced metal dog tags with full color designs as jewelry. He wanted to know if she had any artwork that would lend itself to the rectangular format of the tags.
Ah Ha! she thought. And TAROT TAGS were born.
The Sun, The Star, High Priestess and The Lovers are the first four designs to be produced as jewelry in a series that will encompass the full 22 cards of the Major Arcana. The next designs on the way are: The Magician, The Fool, The World, Empress and Emperor.
The tags are made of stainless steel on a stainless steel chain. They are created, produced and assembled entirely in San Diego, California, USA.
