First of all, let me say-to/warn anyone on my friends list; If you send me ANY type of SPAM related BS, (ring-tones, free this or that, etc), you will be deleted from my friends list permanently. Friends don't spam friends. ***************************** ******************************************************** ********************************************************* Business Owner,(East Fulton Mechanics), Bass player, Glorified, Certified, MechTech, (restore/upgrade/inject "Vettes" mostly). Earlier in my "Careers", I was a boat/yacht builder/designer. I've been directly involved in the building of over 1000 boats/yachts from 15 foot-2500 dollar Bass boats,("Sprint" boats), to 95 foot-11 million dollar,("Viking"), yachts. I am a lifelong music lover, (thanks to a "Hippie" sister); I like most music, I don't approve of the recent vulgar "rap" as it is called, nor do I consider it music! (It's lame poetry at best). I'm NOT a racist, (my wife is part Native American Indian).. I just like traditional/soothing sounds, especially that of a "Shovel-Head" Harley! I've loved and have owned/ridden/built motorcycles since age 7. My favorite "escape"; Long-distance ride on a Harley.. My first "big bike" was a 1975 Harley XLCH. I've owned/ridden/maintained Harley's ever since.. My current motorcycles include a 1979 Harley Low-rider (I've turned all the bolts at least 10 times on this beast,lol,w/200,000 plus miles) and a 100th anniversary Harley Softail Nighttrain..(camped 9 days at Jackson, Ms HD for it). I've ridden; Sturgis SD, Daytona, Gulfport, Bowling Green, and 100's of smaller events.. I am an adrenaline junkie and a "Muscle Car" fanatic. I'm half Yankee, half Rebel. (My father is from Ohio, my mother from Mississippi).. Being that said; I don't share most folks opinion of "Abe Lincoln".. I think if he was a "great" President, he would have solved his "Federal vs State" views peacefully! I do believe in God and pray to him often. I admire independence, and tolerate dependence, if necessary. I most dislike dishonest public officials, and think they should pay with double fines or jail sentences if proven crooked. I don't believe life begins at birth, but at conception. I think driving a car is a right, not a priveledge, (unless you have proven to be a dangerous, with many wrecks, driver). I believe you should help your friends and family, (the stronger your friends and family are, the stronger you are).. *********************************************************** **************************************************** *********************MUSIC IN MY LIFE********************************************* *********************************************************** I heard my first "Beatles" record when I was 4. "She Loves You". That was in the early 60's. I first was interested in the drums. I got my first set when I was 8 years old. I still "tinker" with drums from time-to-time. When I was about 11 years old, I got my Christmas wish, a Bass guitar. I drove the family crazy the first few months. I joined the band in Jr. High and made an attempt to play the Trumpet, but I really didn't have the needed interest to "indulge" myself into "the horn".. I returned to the Bass and decided to call it my choice of musical instruments..***********__________BANDS I'VE PLAYED BASS GUITAR IN;_________1_The first band I was in was in 1974.. A rock group formed by Richard Dyer, (Tremont, Ms), called "ICE". Other members in this group were; Randy West-Rhythm, "Smokin"_Steve Smith-Lead, Late_Johnny Jones-Lead/Rhythm*****____2_ The second band; "BITS AND PIECES" formed by; Benny Davis w/ wife Susan. Other members inc; Benny Enlow-Drums, Lisa Johnson-vocals, Teresa Shumpert-Keyboard, Vic Bonner-guitar/lead, and various other drummers, guitarists.. We toured and recorded mostly in the "SHOALS" area where we played at "Mr C's" and were "Regulars" at the "Hayloft Opry". We opened for many famous people including; "At-time"_President-JIMMY CARTER, CHARLIE DANIELS, THE GATLIN BROS, TAMMY WYNETTE, EARL THOMAS CONNELY, DAVE & SUGAR, THE NEW CHRISTY MINSTRELLS, .*****____3_ The third band; "Chrome/n/hot leather"; The Late-Johnny Jones formed this band; w/players Marty "GOAT" Miller-Lead guitar, Robert Wren-drums..*****____4_ The forth; "Harrison Bros"; Andy and Midd Harrison Band; Andy Harrison-Lead guitar/vocals, Midd vocals/hell raisin, Robert Wren Drums.*****____5_ The fifth; "RAGE" ; Marty "GOAT" Miller-Lead guitar, Nick Cervich-drums, Charles "Buck" Hinton-sax/vocals.*****____6_ The sixth;"KALEIDESCOPE"/College scholarship band.. w/ too many members to list..*****____7_ The seventh;"E2 AND THE BLUES"; Eddie Moore w/sister Eileen. vocals. Perry Murphy-Lead guitar, Rex Needum, (of "Mornin" show fame),-drums.. This group had moderate success; We opened for a few "big" names; MARTINA McBRIDE amongst them..*****____8_ The eigth; The "GARY "NICK" NICHOLS" band, whew! We played everywhere from truckstops to VFWs..*****____9_ The ninth; "ROXZONE"; Billy Ray Sneed-Lead guitar, Richie Jones-guitar/vocals, Dale Rikard-Drums*****____PEND_ The current tunes are in works via "Harrison Bros" music..
