Born and raised in Germany, Karl Wortmann started his musical journey 1968 at the age of 15 singing in a local Blues band.
He followed his autodidactic studies producing music since that time.
This led to his own Record Label "kawo-music.com", found 1997. Since then, he's well respected for his Pop & World music productions.By doing videoclips he won the 2nd prize at the Magdeburg Film festival 2006 with the videoclip "Bleib mir treu".More film work was coming up together with Hendrik Helmer, Drumplay and Jacinto Mendez, only to name some.Since 2006, Karl is the producer of his own Radio show.At this stage, he is working together with Dan Grigsby on the new CD of Rashid Bell.
His label is distributed in Germany nationwide by "new music distribution", Hamburg.Drumplay, featuring Daniel Thompson - Train
