I have to admit that i was a little sceptical about My Space, i wasn't really sure how it would work but it's been great. Comments and messages do cheer you up. As you may know i am a stand up comedian and supposedly my job is to bring cheer to people's lives but i seem to have hit a problem during the last six months. I seem to really upset Glaswegian PORG's. Now i love the city of Glasgow and i think Glaswegians are great but the little people of Glasgow seem to have a problem with me and i honestly have never set out to annoy them. On three seperate occasions over the last six months; a PORG as threatened me with violence but on each occasion after the air has cleared they've either mistaken me for someone else or mis-heard something i said. Very disconcerting.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who listens or would like to listen to the shambles or Angelina Jolie or Beyonce or the Welsh lass in Torchwood or the guy who tried to push me down some escalators in the Arndale. A lot of the people i would really like to meet are dead and to be honest i'm not in much of a rush to meet them.

Music:

96.2 The Revolution plays anything and everything. Indie, Rock, Punk, etc. Anything that is good. Except music for the Chav's and musically retarded (R&B and chart nonsense) if you want to listen to that sort of stuff, then tune in to ASBO FM or RADIO COUGH COUGH. My personal tastes are: The Specials, Madness, Selector, The Beat, The Dead Kennedy's, Exploited, 999, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Smiths, New order, Del-a-Soul, The Jam, The Beatles, (Early) Oasis, Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, Shed 7, Gomez, just realised that this list would end up going on and on. Think you get the gist.

Movies:

I'm a massive film buff. Its impossible to pick a favourite film and anyone who has a favourite film, doesn't like films. Here are some of my favourites though. The grapes of Wrath. On the waterfront. 12 Angry men. Misfits. Point Blank. The Conversation. The Taking of Pelham 123. The French Connection. Apocolypse Now. Raging Bull. Taxi Driver. Serpico. Dog day Afternoon. Heat. China Town. Usual Suspects. City of God. Taxi. (The French one) Anything by the Cohen brothers until Intolerable Cruelty, what were they thinking. Pretty much the same as my music list, you get the gist. Joe o'Byrne is an old mate of Robs and he s made a film and is taking it to Cannes Film Festival next month. Have a look and see what you think, we ve got Joe in the studio next Saturday from noon onwards so text in any questions on 07979 962962

Television:

Sport, films, sci-fi, documentries pretty much covers what i watch. Soap and reality TV fans, get a life!!!!!!! and stop living your own through some stranger on a TV programme.

In May 2007 we started a new monthly comedy night in Manchester - Mick Ferry's Space Cadets. (SEE TOP FRIENDS) The aim was to do something fresh, original and very, very funny. Two nights in we reckon we re pretty much there.

Each month the Space Cadets set Mick a challenge - Mick's Mission - which must be filmed and shown at the next gig. His first mission was 'Compete in a penguin race down Canal St,' here, courtesy of Ian fox, is the result...

Books:

My reading tastes seem to change every year. At the moment i am reading a lot of auto-biographies. Next year it could be be books about cooking fat.

Heroes:

Any one that has been on hold for over 45 minutes to a call centre and not exploded with rage when finally getting connected. Any one who has to suffer the appalling public transport system on a daily basis. Any one who intervenes when yobs are running riot, we really have become a nation ruled by yob culture. Any one who can calmly open the packaging on a toy without attacking it with a pair of scissors.
