I've lived in Adelaide most of my life.
Until I was fifteen I thought I had two sisters, one living with the man I thought was my father and the other with my Mum and I. But it turns out that I've got five half sisters and one step-sister, two half brothers and one step-brother, a different Dad from my sisters. And lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, etc, all over Australia.
I'm not good with groups of people, prefering to spend time with one or two people at a time. When I do have to be where there are large groups, I try to stay in the background when possible or move from person to person, avoiding being in the middle of the group.
I appear more confident than I really am.
Yet at the same time I know that I can do anything that I believe I can do.
I'm friendly to most people prefering to get to know people for who they are regardless of back ground, social status etc, and expect the same of them.
But while I'm friendly to most, I am picky about who I actually consider to be my friends.
I offer absolute loyalty to my friends, and loved ones, but will turn my back without a second's hesitation on those who show themselves to have no honour. And once someone loses my trust or respect it's all but impossible to get it back.
I'm independent and resent anyone who tries to tell me what to do, think or how to live my life.
I'm very affectionate with my friends and love every minute I spend with them, but also need lots of space for myself.
I show my affection through hugs, holding hands and casual touching.
Sometimes my affectonate nature can get me into trouble when people misread what they think are "signals". For the record I don't send out "signals" if I'm interested I don't leave room for doubt, you'll be 100% certain. If you're not 100% certain, that's because I'm not interested and any interest you perceive is all in your head.
The love of my friends and family is everything to me.
I get annoyed by people who are too weak, easily influenced or stupid to think for themselves and by those who can never make their own decisions. I'm also annoyed by people who don't have the strength of character to be the same person regardless of who they're talking to. And by people who can't make a decision and stick to it. I'm especially annoyed by people who let others hurt them and keep going back for more, and who insist on complaining to me about it every time!!
I think there's more strength in voicing thoughts, feelings & weaknesses than in concealing them.
I like to smile and laugh, and adore those who also like to smile and laugh.
I love my pets and believe that if you have a pet that you are completey responsible for it's health, comfort and happiness till the day it dies.
I'm quick to anger, but just as quick to forgive.
I think that only the stupid don't learn from their experiences, and that nothing that teaches me something is entirely a waste.
I'm impatient. As Ashleigh Briliant said "Can all the good things that are going to happen to me, please try to happen while I'm still alive?!"
I despise having my time wasted, I've got all the time in the world to help other people, but if they muck me around and waste my time, they have to expect that I will stop giving them my time.
I collect Coca Cola memorabilia.
While money is necesssary to survival it is not, nor will it ever be the "be all and end all" of my life. Given the choice between riches in money and riches in friends, I'd take the friends everytime.

I enjoy writing stories and poetry. Currently working on a novel, I hope I get it finished one day. I also write a lot of poetry.
I read a lot, I enjoy, reading the latest science publications, auto biographies, science fiction/fantasy, horror and crime.

My Deb Friend is my best friend! I could never imagine a life without her in it. She's the first person I think of when I have news to share or when I need a sounding board. She's the one who understands me and loves me just as I am. The only friend who thinks first about what's good for me before thinking of herself all the time.
