Tongue Tide

Somewhere in the middle the truth lies

About Me

----------------TONGUE TIDE - THE DUO--------------------
Tongue Tide are a contemporary female singing and song writing duo born and bred in tidal towns either ends of the UK; Barrow-in-Furness and Broadstairs.
Rich lyrics, unusual harmonies and a powerful emotive delivery is the exciting result of their creative collaboration since 2007. With a strong captivating stage presence, a choice selection of tongue in cheek covers fused with their own quirky, feisty, provocative songs Tongue Tide entertain and engage their audience, riding the current from laughter through tears sharing ludicrously lucid moments of meaning.

Ali Rigg
Ali left formal education as soon as possible blowing harmonious raspberries as she went! Daydreaming had yet to be recognised as a constructive attribute....
Subsequent to her role as choir master of Lanternhouse Voices during the last six years of Welfare State International, Ali continues to inspire and enthuse hundreds of people with her velvet voice and passion for singing. As principle singer in countless shows she has worked alongside many top international musicians and organisations including the English Touring Opera.
"I exorcize beasts of my mind by singing from my core"
Jodi
Jodi has been tongue tied since birth affording her a cynical trip on this life fairground we all play around in. With no musical training to speak of other than a burning passion for matters of consequential truth, she has eventually stepped out of the singer song writers bedroom closet to share a peace of her mind to any audience member who dares and cares to listen.
