Hilde Louise writes her music and lyrics within her own personal genre, inspired by american vocal-jazz from the 1950s, early European cabaret and the harsh wind blowing on the north-west coast of Norway. She has released three albums in three years: "Eleven Nights and Two Early Mornings"(2004), "Birdie Blues" (2005) and "No vil eg vake med deg" (2006). The last one is a tribute to the late Swedish jazzsinger Monica Zetterlund, and presents parts of her repertoir translated from Sweedish and English into Norwegian by the great Norwegian author Edvard Hoem.Through her years in "the business" Hilde Louise has worked with grand musicians; Per Husby(N), Karin Krog(N), Jan Allan(Sw), Jan Lundgren(Sw) and Georg Wadenius(Sw) to mention some.In concerts Hilde Louise enjoys playing with a band she has spent some time putting together, all from the top of the Norwegian jazzleague; Anders Aarum (pi), Jens Fossum (b), KÃ¥re Nymark jr. (tr) and Klaus Blomvik (dr).Recently she has been asked to sing with the Swedish jazz/pop duo KOOP, and this autumn she will be performing with them in Asia, USA and Europe. She also sings on their new single Strangelove, which was released in the US autumn 2007, and will be launched in Europe in the beginning of 2008..
