Add to My Profile | More VideosBiography:Katharina Nuttall is an artist, musicproducer and composer living in Stockholm, Sweden. With the album â€This is how I feel†Katharina Nuttall is making her debut as a solo artist! The album will be released on the 25th of April 2007 on her own label Frances Records and distributed in Scandinavia by V2Music.
â€This Is How I Feel†offers nine personal songs and a strong version of the New Order classic â€Blue Mondayâ€.
The material presents Katharina Nuttall as a wilful artist who succeeds in blending her straightforward lyrics with beautiful melodies that are often punctured by rock and raw elements.
Always striking a pose in the melodies, is Katharina’s extensive voice.
Whether it lingers deep or floats tenderly high, it is done with the same delicate and dynamic precision.
As a songwriter Katharina is inspired by â€Any music from the heart that compellsâ€, as she puts it.
Growing up surrounded with British pop music, she was heavily influenced by bands like; The
Smiths, Radiohead, Depeche Mode and the American refugee Scott Walker.
Other examples were Patti Smith, Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, Curtis Mayfield and David Bowie.
The lyrics characterize experiences, observations of the mundane day-to-day life and emotions
about people in her milieu.
â€This Is How I Feel†is selfproduced and as a producer Katharina has formely achieved great success through her co-operation with the Norwegian singer/songwriter Ane Brun.
This piece resulted in several awards and a best selling album.
The record â€This Is How I Feel†was recorded in 2006 in both Stockholm and Visby and mixed in
Aerosol Grey Machine Studios by Christoffer Lundquist (Brainpool, Roxette and others).
The album contains vocal contributions from to name a few Ane Brun and Tobias Fröberg as well as stringarrangements from Emil Svanängen (Loney, dear).
The aesthetic videos for â€Staring At The Sun†and â€Place Of Hope†are directed by Magnus Renfors.
Katharina was born in Norway with a Norwegian mother and an English father.
She grew up living in both of the countries and eventually moved to Stockholm in 1994 to study theatre and eventually decided to make the city her home.
Katharina’s father introduced her to the piano during her childhood, but it wasn’t until she turned 21 years old and got her first guitar, that she seriously attempted to compose her own music.
Katharina also composes music for films and her recent work is for the current and appraised teenmovie block-buster â€Livet enligt Rosaâ€.
She has also released an album with the group Sidewalker together with her bass guitarist and co-writer Lars Jonasson Rinman.
As an artist Katharina has a magnetic personality on stage and together with her great band one will be able to enjoy them at the coming summer festivals.DISCOGRAPHY, PRODUCTIONS & FILM MUSICThis Is How I Feel
