About Me

B.A.Taylor has been part of the Melbourne Music scene for 20 years and unwittingly has become a bt of a all rounder, he is presently one of the song writers as well as playing guitar and singing in the 'Dynamic Ribbon Device' a Progressive, Power Pop band whose album ' The Elysian Fields ' can be bought from www.notlame.com The purpose of this site is so Taylor can indulge in other types of music he is attracted to, sounds as diverse as Incidental Film music, 70's Glam, Debussey, any thing that sounds a little Beatleish and many other types of music in between! Taylor is an accomplished Sound Engineer working with countless live bands over the years he also composed incidental music for Swinburne Student Films in the 90's, later he teamed up with Multi ARIA Award winning Video director Mark Hartley and did Sound for well over 120 Film clips for bands such as You Am I, Living End, Powderfinger, Madison Ave, Human Nature, Daddy Cool, Bardot, John Farnham, Jimmy Barnes Etc, also the the film clips for the 'Interview With The Vampire' sequel 'Queen Of The Damned' for Award winning director Paul Goldman. Taylor was 'surf party' band The Nubiles' manager in the late 1980's and together they had great success releasing many singles and the album 'Goin' to the Country'. A big Fan of Producer Sir George Martin, Taylor believes (like Sir George) that arrangements sometimes can be just as important as the song it self and often are the most exciting part of the recording process. Regardless of where the 'Music' road has taken Taylor his true passion is song writing, arranging and performing. B.A's other interests include Photography ( Please view slide show ) Religion(s), Philosophy, Gothic and Religious Art.

About Rainbow Girls

The song Rainbow Girls is a song I wrote about my Father searching for an old friend who was rather sad when he was eventually found. This version is actually performed by my band DRD with me on lead ...
