About Me

Hailing from Vancouver, Canada, a city with a diverse underground scene, Mo Ichi established her roots in techno, house and electro. After finding a common musical platform that fuses these genres, she quickly carved a niche for herself in the local party circuit.
Passionate in her dedication to electronic music and culture, she has united dance floors for nearly 10 years with the sounds of electro through to deep minimal and tough tek.
Since arriving in Melbourne in 2003, Mo Ichi has held residencies at Revolver, Bimbo Deluxe, Republika, Loop and Sunny and has played alongside plenty of talent including DJ T (Germany), Audiofly (UK), Martinez (Denmark), Ripperton (Switzerland), Monolake (Germany) and Stephan Bodzin (Germany).
Locally she has played with some of Melbourne’s underground elite at venues such as Brown Alley, KAPLUNK!, Ladyfest Melbourne, ROXY, Meccanoid, F.L.I.R.T., Lectro, Molotov, More Bass, The Royal Melbourne Hotel, The Palace, Honkytonks and The Prince of Wales.
Whilst embarking on her production aspirations, the passed few years have had many highlights which include playing gigs in Tokyo 2007/08 (Minimal Tokyo), Rainbow Serpent Festival 2008, Sunshine People NYD 2007 boat cruise and guest appearances on the Kinetik Frequencies Radio Show, JOY FM, KISS FM and JJJ.
Currently she is involved in several ongoing events including Pitch(b):tch, Spunk and Sunny.
Remaining true, but not exclusive to the underground movement, she continues to promote the music that not only inspires her, but has helped shape her as a creative individual.
