VERONICA CASTILLO Biography:

Born in Havana Cuba, under the sign of Cancer during the hot summer of 1968. From the union of two artists, her father a multi-instrumentalist Jazz guru and painter, her mother a respected journalist.

Veronica naturally started to express herself in a variety of ways including writing poems & painting during her childhood and adolescence, later drawing and photography became the vehicles of choice.

Non Conventional...

While not attending dedicated art schools, she instead frequented artists, photo & music studios absorbing and just being… Formal studies took place at La Sorbonne University, studying language and civilization (Italian), including 16th century Venice, La Commedia Dell’Arte, Italian cinema focusing on Federico Fellini's work.

MUSIC MUSIC & MUSIC…One “studio” leads to another…one day or a night…during a recording studio session, she decides to help a team of friends musicians & producers. Becoming the negotiator between composer/musician/producers and the music industry. A few years passed and the list of customers expanded… End of 1989 she accept an offer from Flying Records (Angelo Tardio), an independent Italian record company and left Paris were she was based to go work in Naples for their Dance Music department ( De la Soul, Queen Latifah, Paris, Digital Underground) .

Another offer and she then moves to Brescia-Milan to work for Media Records & recording studios (East Side Beat, 49ers, Cappella), together with producer Gianfranco Bortolotti . After two years of Artist management and European tours for Top 50 classified groups & artists, it was time to move again...

In 1992 she moves back to France and started working with world famous producer Henri Belolo (Village People, Eartha Kitt, etc), as Promotion Artist manager. Working with Gloria Gaynor, Joan Jett, The Sign (Prince), and new artists such as Jaydee, Haddaway, Fun Factory, 2Unlimed, La Bouche...to name a few. After organizing and managed for MCM (the French mtv) a summer tour of 21 dates in 21 cities, were she presented more than 20 artists…she decided to move on.

In 1996 Veronica chose Miami Beach to live & play, moving to the US where her mother had already settled and started all over, once again.

1998 After a couple of months working for Julio Iglesias as personal assistant (30 years career Album & "La Gota fria" video in Punta Cana, Juanillo, Dominican Republic with the Director of Juan Luis Guerra videos, this was the second video for this song, Produced by Julio himself. Veronica decided to take some well deserved vacations, at least from the music biz.

REAL ESTATE: The year 2000 marked a new direction, becoming licensed as a realtor and later meeting her partner Jose Luis Duran in Palm Beach, together becoming a top producing team with Majestic Properties, specializing in south Florida luxury residential properties.

THE ART PATH::::::2006 by public demand, is the year to share...and let everybody be able to take home an original piece of art by Veronica, ink, acrylic, or mixed media. The first Show and Sale will be held at Carol Jazzar's Gallery, independent Modern Art curator.... Artist’s Statement: "I was always painting, drawing, experimenting, as a therapy - going to the source of greatness. Even though most of what I did was destined to hang on my own walls, some pieces were made as an offering to a friend, a way of giving something from inside…a drawing, a poem, a picture, a song, a way to personally connect in a unique way. I feel like a volunteer conveying a connection, enriched by my circumstances over the years, a spiritual link to the core. In addition I got to meditate while at it"
